"THE ARTS RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM IS ABOUT GIVING ARTISTS A VOICE"
It is a formal platform for artists to not only display the works that they've created but also convey the creative processes so that others may learn from them. Our goal is to ultimately have people talking about the arts and gaining insights about the world through them. In the previous year, we organized the first Arts Research Symposium in collaboration with the IDEAS Fellowship and the Undergraduate Research Program. We had invited 9 student artists to speak about their works, sharing their inspirations as well the nuances in turning an idea into a tangible product. This year, we hope to expand the Arts Research Symposium to offer more opportunities to host artists and learn about everything that goes into creating a work.
