As the original branch of Emory Arts Underground, we annually connect 90+ artists from Emory, Georgia Tech, and Atlanta to 400+ audience members. Rooted in our mission to provide non-discriminatory, professional-quality platforms for all artists to showcase their talent, we work closely with campus departments including but not limited to: Emory Campus Life, Emory Center for Creativity & the Arts, Emory Visual Arts Department, Emory Career Center, Late Night @ Emory, and College Council. Additionally, members of our team work to advance arts education and policy at Emory and beyond.

2019 Spring Showcase:
Sets organization goals and creates organization atmosphere and culture; ensures effective intra-club communication and allocation of roles. Handles all aspects of event logistics, including but not limited to booking spaces, obtaining location/food/equipment, installing equipment prior to shows, and communicating with campus departments for support
Supports the goals of the organization and maintains organization vision; acts as a liaison between departments
Manages all financial aspects of the club, including but not limited to, attending SGA-required training sessions, keeping track of club funds/spendings, applying for funds, and leading fundraising efforts
Creates the event atmosphere. Designs event interior, works with DESIGN and EVENT LOGISTICS, creates set pieces needed
Recruits, communicates with, and manages artists. Handles artist relations, including but not limited to, scheduling Wonderful Wednesday recruitment, maintaining artist logistics, and managing gallery setup
Creates the brand image of the organization. Handles all creative work, including but not limited to, making flyers and other visual materials, working with ambiance to create event aesthetic, maintaining the website, and designing sponsor packets
Manages setup of the space. Works with AMBIANCE and LOGISTICS to ensure successful preparation of event on site, handling all organizational and delegation work prior to the event and on the day of
Creates audience awareness and participation within and outside of the Emory community. Handles all promotional efforts, including but not limited to, up keeping GBM outreach, maintaining social media, doing liaison work with sponsors, and establishing partnerships with other universities
Takes photos and videos of events, edits/posts photos/videos to social media and website
EMCEE (SHOW DAY ONLY)
Hosts the showcase, entertains the crowd between acts, introduces artists, creates/maintains mood of the event
